4x4 no longer engages on my 1996 F150 XLT 302. Hubs are manual locking, the indicator lights work for 4x4 and High Range, and the floor shifter responds as normal. When shifting, it does the thump to engage, but the wheels don't turn (haven't looked under yet). Any possible causes/solutions?

 

a number of things. First are the hubs locked? (we've all done it once could swear they were and werent) The Tcase good? the front diff work? first thing is to put the truck in 4x4 with hubs locked and put the parking break on get under it and see if the front shaft can be moved by hand.
