well, i figure since i got the engine pulled out and the cab off, i figure might as well seal it up i figure. how have you guys done it? just rubber sheets or what? pictures anyone?
Here check out my gallery, i just used swather canvass, but i actually need to go back and screw the canvass to the fender and firewall better. I like using the swather canves cause its has ribs in it, that when cut in the right spots it'll take up the shape that you want it too.
see, thats pretty much what i have hanger wise for the front too, and i was thinking something along those lines for the front, offer some protection from saplings and branches and whatnot.
I have access to about 15' of 2' wide rubber conveyor belt that I'm gonna use. I figure I'll run two 2' strips from frame rail to frame rail, and then cover them both with canvas, and also use the canvas to go over any other gaps. The way I plan to do it, it will basicly be like a rubber skid plate that I can unbolt. My engine bay looks pretty much like yours mustange, but only my block is 100 cubes smaller. Do you get alot of noise from the airbox being in the cab (I know its sort of a Dumb question, as its a muddin truck, but...)? I've been thinkin' of doing this in my rig.

You can that swather canvass from any farm supply store (heck napa might be able to get some in), but the farm supply places should have some old stuff kickin around (make sure thats it has the rubber slats and not wooden slats).
RotGrub, to be honest i have yet to get the air intake setup intalled, as 1. i still need to get some hose (i'll be using 5" diameter), but all the bracketry is made up and ready to go, i also just used some 5" diamter exhaust pipe to clamp to and as what goes through the firewall so i don't cutup the hose, i'll be using a conical style filter and i'll have it placed in the glove box and i'll have a make shift air box of sorts (ie sheet metal to cover the bottom of the glove box).
