Thumbs down 6.0 diesel

whats the deal with these powerstroke diesels. So many troubles and yet so many guys will waste 40 to 50 grand on a truck and still say what a great vehicle. Just plain dumb. No reliability for the money. Sorry guys, thats why this time I went w/V10.

You're right... I'm just gonna dump my perfect PSD. I'll tell my Dad to dump his too. Oh and my neighbor has one too... perhaps he'll get rid of his. They all suck. Every single PSD is a piece of crap.

Thanks for making me see the light!

Mike

Let's see. New user. Three posts. I'm almost curious enough to go find out what your other two posts were, but I don't feel the need to go on a bona fide troll hunt.

If you, personally, had some issues with a 6.0L-equipped Super Duty, by all means, do some good for FTE users and explain what happened, what you did, what the dealership did or did not do, etc..

If, on the other hand, you bought into all of the Internet hype about how bad of an engine the 6.0L is, I truly feel sorry for you. Maybe if more users would take the time to actually do some researching instead of just clicking on every "6.0L doom" thread or listening to every "Well, I have a (friend/cousin/uncle/pet sheep) that had a 6.0L, and...." story, you might realize that there is a larger number of folks--even within the confines of this single forum/website/community--that have had minimal, if any, troubles with their 6.0L PSD.

Take for instance:

He’s just jealous after reading about all of the power that some of us are pushing around, that he can only dream about. He really wants a stroker deep down.

turbo problems

I would like to know why ford is having so many problems, ford dispatched a tow company to pick up my truck tonight i bought a 28 ft warrior tow hauler at 4:30 pm at 5:30 pm i was calling ford to come get my truck completly distroied the turbo i have 22000 mile and this is the third turbo, this one was only 1500 miles old. i was climbing a fairly steep grade at 58 miles per hour the trailer was empty wieghing about 6500 lb. and then gerbals ran threw my turbo made a allfull noise, then no power. truck was runnig though pulled of to shoulder and called for road side. note they only cover 100.00 of the tow expense on the trailer. was cheper to have AAA tow that home.
