BULL BARS? Need Suggestions.

Pretty sure I want a set of BullBars. Considering GoRhino or Westin. Definetly going Black. 2.5" or 3" don't know what looks better? Need help deciding Brand and Size. Thanks in advance.

Every set of bars Ive run across have forced you to remove the front tow hooks. Do you have/use your hooks? Might be something to look into.

Check out T&H, they are not very common from what I hear. I bought the complete brush guard, to me it looks like a bull bar that was turned into a brush guard. Check my gallery to see a pic, but they do sell a bull bar with an optional skid plate. The bull bar itself did not jump out at me but the complete brush guard did. Here is the link to thier website. http://thoffroad.com/ford/index.html Like Rich said you do have to remove the tow hooks, and all the bull bars I looked into required this. Again just a different option than the norm westin etc..

depending on what grill you have (stock grill;honey comb, bar> Aftermarket) I would go with the piping that matches your grill. For instance, if you have the OEM grill, I would go with the 3" black tubing from Westin. I have the Carriage Works Polished grill and I plan on getting the 3" Chrome Bull Bar

IMHO it depends on the color of the truck and bumpers if you have chrome bumbers I say get chrome bull bar, if you have body colored bumpers get black one.. Black is about 100-150 bucks cheaper!

Got the chrome on my screw 4X4 Black truck with chrome bumbers. GOt some 130w lights. Hay a tip for you out there that have to have your front plate on display take your holes on the bottom of the plate and screw them into the top mounts. On the Westin it works and cost nothing...

Can anyone talk about whether they had to remove their stock hooks? Ive heard you have, but obviously you guys who are running them, can tell us definitively.

Thanks for the response. Great looking trucks. I'm going to go with the Black WESTIN from truckaddons.com. Hope to order tommorrow (still trying to convince myself). Your pictures did help. Specially Slither I have same truck ('05). I need to take pics of my truck for gallery. Maybe this weekend, maybe wait till next week, I have UNDERCOVER tonneau and AMI Fuel Door on the way.

Thanks again.

I'm with you. I had the Tal & Hadas on my sport trac and loved the way it looked. I didn't have the skid plate but I thought it looked a hell of a lot better than the cheap looking skid plate of the Westin.

Took mine off but how often do you use them... If you have a 4X4 it is EZ to install you use the same bolts from the tow hook.
