Replacing shocks on 2001 Supercrew

2001 SuperCrew 2wd 4.6L 143K miles. Under 7700GVW (i think)

I am thinking of replacing my shocks, the truck seems a little "spongy" in curves. I only drive on the highway and would like it to be a smooth ride. Does anyone have good or bad experience with a particular brand?
I just replaced the tires with Michlein LTX m/s (the previous set of Generals did the same thing) and the truck has a slight "hop" when braking to a slow stop. When not using the brake and just coasting to a stop the truck is smooth. I assume this is another issue, but any help would be appreciated

Thanks / Richard

Thanks

It seems that Monroe Reflex is what everyone likes. I will give it a try, and thanks for the link.
