Need Advice On Tires

I Own A 2002 F150 Supercrew Fx4 And Im In The Market For New Tires, I Am Considering The Bfg Mud Terrain And The New Goodyear Wrangler Mt/r, My Question Is Can I Fit 305/70/17 On My Truck Or Am I Limited To 285/70/17. I Currently Have 265/70/17 But I Want A 33" Tire. And Any Suggestions As To Which Tire Is The Better Bang For The Buck Would Be Appreciated As Well.

Goodyear MTR's are the better offroad tire, I have 7 of them on my play toy! as far as size goes dont think you will get a 305 on there with no lift kit.

you can fit 305 but you have to trim a 1inch off the rubber flap and a cood amount of the plastic rubber in the front, i just dide 285s the 305s throw off the spedo too much, mine is a 4 mph diff right now i can live with that...

I'd say the Goodyear's get the edge in terms of off-road although I think the BFG's handle better if you're doing any pavement driving.

Not sure about your size question though.
