2006 superduty. There are grounding bolts under the dash and to the right of the steering column. There are 3 bolt holes with slots running around them to lock the ring tabs. 2 of these 3 holes have the bolts and ground instrument electrics and what have you. My question is: does anyone know the size? It looks to be a 6mm but will not thread into the hole. Anyone?
Knowing the auto manufacturers, it could be anything. I guess if you have a big enough order, the bolt people will make anything for you.
If you take one of the bolts out that is already there, and it looks exactly the same diameter as the 6mm, but the threads are finer, it may be a 6mm x.75mm pitch. Most 6mm are 1.0mm pitch.
There is a junkyard in Spokane that has a 2005 superduty if you want to try and get the bolt from a wrecked truck. I am assuming the 2005 had the same setup. Here's the junkyard link. http://www.spaldings.com/
