Ok, need suggestions here. After cleaning and waxing the Bass Boat this weekend, I noticed more than a few chips in the Gel Coat and Trailer paint. The Ranger has more than a few miles of towing on it and the rocks are taking their toll.
My question. What mud flaps do you guys reccommend to help reduce the debris flying to the boat? Company names and links if possible would be great.
My truck is a 2wd 2000 Excursion. Std. tires and no lift.
There is a couple of ways I think would do it and it is up to you. One way would be to put a trailer shield on your trailer it covers up the front part of the boat and looks not the best but it protects your boat and trailer. The second way would to get a set of mud flaps that are contected to your receiver hitch they are called a hitch guard mud flaps, and you can remove them when you are not using your hitch.
I put a set of Dura-Flaps on my XLT a few months ago. I prefer the look of a vehile with them, but they sure are protecting the truck...and whatever is behind it.
After having them on for a while, I can say that they are a huge help. You can see a pic in my gallery...blurry phone pic but it gives the idea.
The Dura Flaps install without drilling any holes in the truck. It uses all existing holes.
