Modified, I have seen these brackets being sold, though I haven't seen them for the 73-79 seats and don't know what difference there would be between our trucks vs the later model trucks that I saw them listed for. The problem, as I see it, is that you will not be lifting the seat back, just the base. It would also affect the fold down feature that these seats have, so you couldn't lay it flat to use that as a cargo area.
Look at there Hi-Rider Seat Kits. I always thought that every place I found these they were way to expensive! You can make something for a lot cheaper but as said, with either choice, you will lose the fold down feature of the seat. Ford also did make these once upon a time. They pop up on e-bay once in a while.
