I have a 1976 ford 4x4 f-150. 7"'s of lift. I want to install a tilt hood.(the front clip). What am I getting in to? If I can locate a hydraulic lift and necesary parts, can I use the hood thats on it? Money wise, how much would it cost?

You can just use the stock parts and make your own. I did this on mine, and the only parts I needed to buy were some supports for the small portion of the inner fenders that holds the hinges, and a shock to help keep the hood open. This method is a lot cheaper than the $1000 fiberglass noses, and works just as well. Good luck.
