Helpful tips
I am getting my 390 back from the machine shop so far I have had bad luck with this machinist. I want to be able to check the motor over properly before assembly. If anybody has any helpful hints are suggestions please feel free. I am also looking for any kind of advice for the assembly such as where to apply rtv and anyhting anyone can think of. I only wonna build this motor once. Thanks guys.

Cleanliness!!! Clean everything with soap and water, dry with compressed air. Clean everything with solvent, dry with compressed air. Make sure every opening is cleaned out with bore brushes, solvent and compressed air. While you are working on it keep your clean parts covered and protect them from rust. There will be grit from the machine shop in all sorts of places so make sure you get it all because it is highly abrasive stuff.
