Which Hose?!

Just installed new Warn hubs, but not sure which line to plug. I've checked my Chilton's and I've used the search; I see there's a lot of discussion about this subject but no photos or specifics on exactly which line is the vacuum line off the inside of the wheel? I know the brake line, but there are two other lines - one located at the top and another on the forward side. Just want to make sure I cut and plug the right one! Sure appreciatre any help from you guys that have been where I'm at now....

the line on top of your hub is the air line. it is a thin ruber line that just pushes onto the hub i think the other line might be your abs line. because the the 2 go near the caliper and rotor and the air line is on the top of your hub. it is kind of hard to explain without a picture.
How do you like your warn hubs?

The thinner line is the abs line. The thicker line is the vaccum line for the auto hubs. Another way to ID it is to follow the brake line up to where it connects to the truck. Right above where the brake line connects is the vacuum line connection.

Talking

Thanks, Muktown,

Haven't used them yet because I wanted to plug the lines first. Just installed them and on comparison with the guts of the stock hubs there's a big, big difference. I've got the premiums and boy they sure look great in the middle of my stonecrushers! I'm gonna go cut and plug and find a mudhole right now! Thanks again....!

you should be able to just pull them off. i wouldnt cut anything until your sure you have the right line. when you pll it off you should just see a hollow hose and to double check you could turn it into 4wd and see if you can feel a suction on the hose

Oh, so it's the thicker line more near the front of the truck?

yes your brake line and abs line are run together and go near the rotor and your esof like pushes onto the top of the hub and steering knuckle

on mine I pulled the line off the steering knucle and unscrewed the fitting then used a 1/8" npt pipe plug to block off that end.
