Realized last night that when I turn on the emergency flashers the front ones work, but the rears do not. Tail lights, brake lights and turn signals all work fine.
What year truck do you have? I guess whatever year you have, the first thing I would try is moving the emergency switch back and forth rapidly and see if they start working.
You have a later model truck with the famous multi-function switch that seems to go bad all the time. This is the large switch in the column that has the turnsignals, wipers, hi-lo beam and the emergency flashers. If you can't revive it by vigorously moving the emergency lever back and forth, you may need a new switch.

I'm assuming that thanks to the air bag, replacing it myself is not an option. Or, are there instructions somewhere of how to accomplish this task?
