Is the shop manual worth the money? I would like to have something that can tell me some repair issues or how to get at something, but especially the torque specifications of everything? If so, how much do they run and does anybody have a good connection on one other than my local Ford Dealer? If not, where is a good place to get this kind of info (other than FTE baby!!)
I see the CD shop manuals on E-Bay pretty often - I'd prolly look there first. I'd consider getting one from the Ford Stealer as the last option - I'm sure you can get one cheaper elsewhere.
I have a Haynes manual that is pretty in-depth - I think it was like $20 - but I'm sure it's not as good as you can get, but it's given me all the info I've needed so far..

I bought my shop manual on ebay for about $90. I thought that was a good deal. They are very well worth it. There is a lot of information for the price of an hour or two shop labor. There is another really good source for manuals, but I forgot what it is. I'm sure someone will chime in. A lot of guys are getting the electronic version along with printed version. The Electronic version is easier to search, but the diagrams are better in the printed version. That's what I've heard anyway. I would recommend the manuals, hope this helps some.
I did see the manual on CD off ebay. I have also seen the Haynes manual (as well as another brand) at the local Pep Boys or Kragen or something and was just wondering if that is enough for me. As long as it gives the torque specs and reasonable info, I can always ask questions on FTE if I get over my head!
Ebay, Ebay, Ebay. I bought two manuals so far (factory type) and have not paid more than 25.00 for either. Be patient and keep your eyes open you will get a deal.
I have been looking on EBAY. I found the electronic copy which is on the way, but I also like to have the hard copy as well. I will have to keep looking. Thanks!
