On the passenger side of the engine bay is a vacuum reservoir with a line coming out of it to a t-fitting and then off to different locations. Anyone know where they go and what they control. The previous owner cut them all at the T.
On our '92, from the manifold I see lines that should go to the following
Brake Booster
Cruise Control canister
Auto Transmission (if equiped)
Fuel regulator
Heated air (air box)
Blend Door (heater/ a/c system doors)
I think newer ones have one to EGR also..
If the truck runs well I'd say its the one to the airbox (makes it so you get air from around the exhaust manifold until things warm up some) or the one for the blend doors which control where the air goes (e.g. by the window, on the floor etc)
Not sure what car or year you are talking about. My 93 Explorer sounds liek yours. There is a vac canister just above the AC box in the engine compartment. The vac line tees to it and then to 2 other places. One is the stock air box to control the cold/hot air intake to the motor. Other is through the firewall to the blend door assembly.
