Understand some numbers, not others
Hey all,
I was checking the dana 44 ifs front end diff today and got the numbers off the tag. I can figure out the 3.50 part (gear ratio), but the other numbers and letters are a mystery:
EOTA
61002-9
EF

If I am reading the decoder right. Not realy to straight forward
EOTA
E = year, 1980
O = the year in the series. 1980. I.E 2 would make it 1982
T = Produt line. All truck 1958-65; light and medium truck including Bronco 1974-82; light truck and Bronco I 1983-later.
D = Overseas product Engineering

EF = Design changes date code E = 1980,F = June
