what is a modified??
I just traded for a 1976 ford f150 xlt ranger camper special. It has a 460 and a c6. He then told me the rear end was a 9 inch with 4:11 gears and he called it a modified. I looked at and it had big fins and a support bar across the differential. I didn't ask him what the modified ment, but do you guy know what it is?

no, he didn't do anything to it, he just told me that it was a modified. He only had it for a couple of weeks before I bought it. Do you think that he was refering to the bar that goes across the differental? It looks like it has alot bigger fins than my other 9 inch rear end too. I don't know what he meant, but i know he didn't do anything to it (he's my neighbor)

it's still under the truck, when i get it pulled out i'll show it to ya. It looks like a real heavy duty rear end. 4:11 gears and a locker from the factory is what the guy told me.
