What do you mean the coolant fans? Does it have those electric fans to cool the engine? If that is what you mean start by checking to see if they have power, and try perhaps jumpin' them to make sure they work.

Along with the fuse, consider fan relays. I'd suggest breaking out the DVM and start tracing the wiring for voltage. Also, check the grounds. BTW, new parts sometimes don't equate to good parts.

From what i can tell, both fans share the same ground to the frame, a black wire. You shoul have a 40 amp fuse in the engine bay that is hot at all times, i would check those. The fans get power down a gray wire with a red stripe. There are two relays that are involved as well One is a HEDF, the other is EDF, they look like they are part of a module called constant control relay module ccrm. Will look into this later when i can see. If you turn on the A/C, will anything happen with the fans?

Good luck Dave P.

Silly me, now that i have had my AM drink, i can almost see that the module or ccrm is just the block under the hood that holds the fuses, and relays. I also noted that there is a engine cooling fan dropping resistor from EDF relay on a red/orange wire then switches to gray/red then ties to both fans at one point.

Dave P My expresso, where is MY expresso? :O

Parks,
The haynes manual on page 128 suugest to check the 24 pin Electrical connector switch (it should say CB on a sticker near a rad hose)

They state that it could work its way loose and cause an open circuit.

You can check for corrosion on the connections while you're there

If you need something, obviously I have a manual.
