Front Bumpers
Im looking for the biggest, beefiest, strongest looking, run over a cow with no body damage strong frong bumper. i mean i dont want one that you can go up to and move back and forth on the truck. i want my truck to be able to hit a dang teliphone poll and keep driving. i want to drive down the road and have people say WOW LOOK AT THAT THING, get out of its way. and i also want it to look good.
any body know any good kits or web sites where i could buy one. or does any 1 have plans so i can make one?

There are places around here that custom build bumpers, headache racks, and other equipment. They build to your specifications. Many places around here are quite reasonable. I can not recommend any place in your area but you might look for a shop like this. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
on edit: Definately go full replacement bumper. That way the new bumper and grill guard are all one piece. You will never get close to the strength you want with anything else.

You need a full bumper replacement bumper. Look into Ranch hand www.ranchhand.com, or Frontier http://www.frontier-gear.com/. I am not shure if frontier makes one for our obs truck but you can give them a call. I had a friend with a new didge cummins that had one, very stout and look good too.

Ranch Hand makes good bumpers, they use 4 inch scehdule 40 pipe as a base.
BUT...."being able to hit a telephone pole"...you had better brace up you frame. The bumper may take the hit, but your frame will buckle.

man i was checking out those links and they dont make a front bumper for the OBS trucks! will the bumpers still bolt on tho?

theres a gentleman on the dieselstop that made a front bumper for an OBS and it was sweet and just as good as a ranch hand and he is willing to make them for other people at a reasonable price i think the person to loook up is 93turbo_animal he's the guy who made the bumper. check itout

jsut a bumper was like 500 let me check the PMs he sent me it was a nice bumper iwould put one on in aheart beat if i had the cash he took pics of it

Base bumper $500
1 set of light bezels $550
2 sets of light bezels $600
Complete bumper minus lights $900
bare metal subtract $50 from any price thats what he sent me

bumpers
I made mine out of scrap pipe/metal. I think my total cost was around $60. My 4" main pipe was a basket ball goal post on a local cattle farm that sold out, The rest of the metal/diamond plate came from the scrap bin at the local metal shop. I mounted the brush guard to the "new" bumper and added a reciever hitch and fishing rod holders.
