I am picking up a 97 f 250 with the power stroke in it with a 5 speed.
I was wondering what is the best bang for the buck modification.
I saw the edge ez module and was wondering if that would work with the bully dog 4 bank chip? I think I want the 4 bank chip becuase you can change it on the fly.
Who makes a good exhaust (turbo back) I want some noise out of this thing but I don't want annoying loud.
I am new to this diesel thing. Thanx
this is prolly the cheapest ways to go and it works quite well.
tymar 3-4" DP, 4" straight pipe all the way to the rear, no cat/muffler, open air intake such as napa's 6637 filter like i use or like one tymar sells, and TWildman chip either 4 or 6 position. although through talking to him very recently about getting a chip he strongly recommends 4 pos since he has been having problems with the 6 pos (BTW... any ideas on why, anyone?).

I'm thinking about doing a similar thing. Are these prices for material or for material and labor? Also, how tough is it to do the exhaust work, dp and all the way back?

i absolutely refuse to pay someone else to work on my baby when i can do all the work myself, so its all just rough estimates of parts.
i got lucky and my buddy had a piece of 4.5" pipe 10' long used for conduit that i welded my tymar downpipe to. the DP in my opinion was the hardest, not that it was hard just took the longest amount of time. then i went to a j-yard that's just down the street and got a 5" 90* elbow off of a peterbuilt. makes for a sweet looking tirndown under the truck
I live in KY but will be in Kansas for the summer which is when I would probably be doing the project if I decide to do it. I bet that 5 inch elbow does look pretty sweet.
