I need to know what the canister is beside the "coffee can" You can see the corner of it in this picture. Mine has a golf ball size hole in it. I know its vacuum related, and it has a hose that goes to the bottom pulley. I want to know what its called and what is it used for?
It will keep the director door inside the heater box from moving. If it has a hole in it it's creating a vacuum leak and that's bad for the engine. I'd go get a new one from the junk yard.

I would say that it is actually the inlet for the air pump, if it has a hose going to the bottom pulley... the coffee can itself is for the a/c, but it doesn't have a hose going to any pulley...
ok in that picture there's 2 hoses that goes to the intake. Mine has the one big pipe with the "Y". My question is will it mess up that sensor on it if i redo the setup and put the 2 pipes instead of the one big pipe? if not will it mess up anything to leave the wires sitting unhooked?
