engine swap info.

I was wondering what it would take to put a 6.0 turbo engine from a 2004 f250 into a 2004 f250 with that originally has a 5.4 in it.

Anything would help,

Thanks

You'd be better off selling your 5.4 and buying a truck with the 6.0 in it.

These days with so much integrated electronics, it would require an entire strip-out of all wiring and electronics and replacement of everything.

Not to mention:

1) brake booster is vacuum on gas motors, hydraulic on diesel.
2) Batteries and where do they go?
3) Fuel tank, pump, lines, etc. Filler neck.

And that's just part of it. Where do you put the glow-plug light?

If you were putting an older non-electronic diesel in it, that might be reasonably possible, but with the new 6.0, that's LOTS of work.

Might be better off getting an entire cab from the donor truck and just bolting the whole thing on.
