Instrument Cluster
Hello to all i have a 2001 ford f-150 supercrew and just recently the odometer goes dark and when this happens my oil pressure guage goes to zero and when the odometer lights back up the oil pressure needle reads normal, what causes this? Is there a simple fix or do i need to find a different instrument cluster? Any and all suggestions are welcome!!!

there is a solder joint on the back of the instrument cluster that is poorly done. you take the cluster out, take it apart, remelt the solder on teh joint and reassemble. there is a post on this site. punch in "instrument cluster" and you will find photos of how to do it.
