98 explorer eddie bauer heating problem

I have an Eddie Bauer with automatic temp control. It only blows full hot if the display is set above 65 degrees, if it is set on 60 degrees it will blow cool, not cold. No in between. Is it simply the $600 dollar dash control unit that is bad or is there a less expensive fix?

You may have the dreaded "Blend Door Problem". Check the very 1st post on the forum (Free Blend Door Fix) to see if you got bitten.
