Question Gauges problem

Hello all:

Brand new owner of a 95 F-150 w/ straight 6 & auto tranny, 110K miles.

Only thing not working on the truck is the oil pressure gauge (pegged all the way to the left) & the temp gauge (stays resting on "C").

Can anyone point me to a forum, etc. on a repair for these?

Just now trying to buy my Chilton's manual to "get to work".

Thanks!

James

Try removing the wire to the sending unit, take a paper clip or a piece of wire and put it in the terminal. Turn the key on and have someone watch the guage. Touch the clip to the engine momentarily and see if the guage pegs. If it does, then try replacing the sending unit. If not, check for power, loose wires and bad connections. Wiggle some things around with key on and someone watching the guages.
