Transmission problem
I recently bought a 1984 truck and have been doing some light work to get it ready for the fishing season. I've driven it off and on lately with no problem. I climbed in yesterday morning to take it for a new windshield and it wouldn't shift from first to drive ( It has an AOD in it).
I changed the filter and fluid, because I didn't have any records for the truck from the previous owner. This did not help. I've been told to drop the valve body and clean it.
Anybody got any experience with this?
