Question Instrument Panel

Looking to repair/replace the instument panel on my 66 slick. It has the center speedo with slots for two gauges, left and right. I'd like to see about either having it refurbished(its chrome colored), chromed, or see if there is someone out there who manufactures either replacement or new panels.
Any and all insights and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks to one and all

Which panel do you have?

There are 2 types a long sweep custom cab type or the standard cab round type.

There are no reproductions yet avalible for stock units

Smile thank you

thanks for the feedback. I have managed to find reproductions with five or six holed unit for the vehicle so I'll most likely go in that direction.

There are probably number of different options. They do make custom instrument clusters and gauges for the 61-66 truck, if interested I can browse 1 of my issues of 'Classic Truck' magazine and get you a resource. IF recall, there were couple of other members who were able to provide source for custom panels on simular post. If you have the metal instrument panel you may want to take it to local plater and get a quote on the cost of having it rechromed. There is the Custom Cab chrome plated plastic instrument panel with the sweeping speedo and 2 round gauges on both sides. I had the CC dash on my 65 refurbished by a shop out of Tx., believe came to around $125. Pleased with results. If interested, I still have his email address. If you find cost of replating too expensive, you could consider painting the panel. I have another 65 standard cab with the metal instrument panel with round speedo and 2 gauges on both sides. I painted the dash close to the original color. I have come across the dashes in salvage yards and purchased couple on ebay, more interested in the gauges than the panel, and got them cheap.

There have been a couple members here get a dash insert from J & B Microfinish (http://www.jbmicrofinish.com). They have them available for the metal dash with round gauges or for the plastic panel too. I think Haneline also makes inserts for these.
