Advice on Tranny

I would like some input on what would be the best choice when its time to fix/rebuilt/change tranny. This is for a 99'F350 used as a car hauler. So it is imperative that it will last through heavy tows...Also would a aftermarket mod - plug and play unit (superchips OBD connected)- change the torque/pulling power? Is it best to rebuil or change alltogether to a differen tranny.

usually a valve body modifiacation will get you by, however if you want bulletproof strength and you have some money to blow, go for a BTS complete extreme duty build.

Here's their site http://www.brianstruckshop.com/

You'll have to call them to get a quote, I think most pay a little over $5K for a new tranny. However, they practically dare you to break it.

BTS's complete transmission costs $3800 and they dare you to break it. however the valve body modifications go for as little as $50.
