od light intmt flashes
2000 f150. with the engine off but the key in and you pull tranny lever into drive with the od light on, it will intmt flash on and off if you wiggle the lever.
took it to a mechanic and he said he replaced a switch in the column, but it sure looks like a wiring problem. this is my dads truck, and i just had a short time to look at it. has anyone had this problem. Racerguy, you seem to be the expert, hope you are reading this. I don't have a manual and my dad is out of state and doesn't work on it himself.

I would remove the covers over the steering column and check the wiring at the base of the shifter, where it goes from inside the shift lever to the harness on the column. Sometimes it will rub through or break.
