If your distributor has a vacuum line going to it(any engine size), then you have a duraspark II system. The duraspark II family of modules are different if the plastic where the wires come out is a different color.
The most common duraspark II color is blue. If you have vehicles that have the vacuum line going to the dist, and the module plastic is the same color, then yes it will interchange, no matter what engine.

Ok I believe I have the duraspark II system as I do have a vacuum line going to my distributor.
I dont get what you are talking about when you say that "The duraspark II family of modules are different if the plastic where the wires come out is a different color."
Different color than what?
and then when you say "the modules plastic is the same color"
I am just not clear on what these colors should be even though you say the most common color is blue.
I will check mine when I get home to see what color it is. I was thinking maybe you thought I had 2 different ones but I do not. I only have the duraspark unit for my 300 6 I pulled the 302 out of another truck but forgot to get the duraspark unit so I dont know what unit it used. Same with the 460 a friend pulled it from a ambulance for me but did not get any of the wiring so I am not sure what duraspark unit they use. I do believe that all 3 engines have vacuum advance on the dist
The connector attached to the Duraspark II module housing in the front (right side) is COLOR coded. Blue is the most common color for most applications and has two wired connectors that attach to connectors from the wire harness.
