Army NG 1988-1992 (Radio Teletype 31-C)
USNR 1992-1997 (back to weather 'til they closed NAS SoWey)
USAFR 2000-present (3C1, 439th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron) Westover ARB
Just re-upped for the last time. Now if my base would only stay open long enough for me to retire I'll be golden. Been tough to be a reservist in this area but almost there. Doing a couple months active duty later this year - that will help the points total.

The New Jersey must have been a trip to be on though - we tied up next to the Iowa a lot in the mid 80's down in ***** City - those BB's were amazing vessels.

1966-68, US Army. Basic training at Fort Knox, AIT at Fort Knox, assigned to the 2nd Inf Div, 122nd Signal Bn in S. Korea in Feb 67 till May 68. Was over there for 15 months. During those times, we were allowed to extend our tour of duty to within 90 days of our original separation date, of which mine would've been about Aug 15, 68. Instead, I got out on May 18th, three months early. During my time in S. Korea, the North took the USS Pueblo. We all thought we were going to war over that. We were put on alert. Just a few days before, though, about 30 N. Korean agents infiltrated the south through our division and made it to Seoul to kill the then S. Korean president. They failed and took off back north. By the time they got back into the 2nd Div area, most had already been killed by ROK soldiers. Since I was a radio operator, me and another guy had the job of setting up a network at the entrance to division territory. this was for all units to keep in better communication. There was no action but, alot of excitement what with tanks, apc's and hundreds of US and ROK soldiers everywhere. Plus, the sky lit up with flares. It was quite a night. They ended killing all the infiltrators.
