5.4L Engine Stall(?)

I have an '06 Supercrew with the 5.4L powerplant. It seems like when I go to downshift from 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st the engine has a very noticeable lag, stall or something. It actually feels like the engine quits running for a second. It is very noticeable when I down**** slowly. Is this something that can be fixed by disconnecting battery (there go my radio presets!!) and letting the computer reset?

I told the dealer about when I had in for my first oil change but it was on a Saturday and he said he didn't have anyone qualified to look at it working.
