Has Ford thought about making it a little harder to break into the lock and open the door? A dealer if Southaven, MS tells me he get several requests a day for replacement lock covers. They got a $300.00 radar detector and a $400.00 PDA out of my 05 Excursion. Don't know why they didn't take the 45 that was in the door well. Counting my blessings.
Wow, just saw this topic. I've seen a number of posts over a couple years about folks' trucks being stolen, usually in places near the southern border.
Every time I've read one it pisses me off thinking about the filth who would steal our trucks, but in your case your truck was recovered and that's very, very nice to hear.
I need to get working on a kill switch for my truck...
Hey…………….. If you want a great way to get back in your vehicle, when you lock your keys in it. We have a new patented product called the Hitch Safe Key Vault that fits into most 2 inch receiver hitches. This allows you to store a spare key inside the receiver hitch that can only be accessed using your own personal 4 digit code. You will never be locked out of your truck again. We have complete videos on our web site showing how it works and how to set the combination. We currently have a promotion on our site giving one away for free. All you need to do is visit our site and register to be qualified for the give away.
I hate to say it but your truck was lost that day to mexico most likley there have been a string of thefts of sd's that all wound up in mexico sorry about your luck and that does really suck. If I spot anything like it I will drop you a line good luck
