Low Torque Cam Timing.
I checked their web sight, and they do not mention anything about this.
The front gear is the stock one, and the back gear under the chain is the new one. The Cam and timing set are part of a kit, and are supposed to be matched. I am just not sure this is right is all. I would hate to find out it is wrong when I start the engine.

Here are the specs on the Cam. It does have a foot note that reads "These cams are designed to be used with pre-emmision timing sets."
This is what they said. In 1974 when then adopted the 460 to meet emissions, they done three things. 1, They reduced the size of the Valve(exhaust I think), 2- Retarted the Cam Timming, 3- placed the EGR Hump in the Exhaust Port.
The current Crank Gear is for the Emissions 460, and the Cam is rated for the non-emissions that does not have the 8* retard. They ordered me a Crank Gear for the 73 460 Police Interceptor addition of the 460.
Considering I ported the Exhaust EGR out, dropped the Cam 8* retard, and upped it with a Low Torqe Cam, I am thinking I will be back to the original 365 HP. After the Emissions, depending on options, the 460 is rated at 208-275 HP.
460

Intake/exhaust valves are 2.08/1.66
Intake/exhaust valves for the Police Interceptor 460 heads (from 1973-'74) measure 2.19/1.66

Last night was the night it roared to life. I must say I am very impressed with this build. Runs smooth, and has lots of power. You can tell just by the feel and the sound.
We just got a snow storm, and the roads are solid ice and snow, so it stays in the shop until it thaws out, then we will give it the road test. This truck with the new setup has been nearly a year in the making, and I am not about to take chances with it now.
After this, I need to weld in some floor pans to replace some rust, then on to the upholstery. I already have my material bought, so all I have to do is sew it up.
