Rear locker

I have 2003 E350 super ser.extended - 7.3L, and i want to have the rear locked. In the feature code description table the rear differential have this describtion:

CODE: EGJAB non-limited slip rear axle.
Rear axle assembly code:EJAJJ - 6340LB(2876kg)rear axle asy.
final drive ratio 3.55 Code:EGAHD

Will be used for street and icee roads as well as off road, What would you recommend to install and how to find the best best price for the parts.

If you are going to be driving on icy roads, then shoot for a locker that will allow you to turn it off when necessary....Like an ARB, Electrac, or, dare I say it, Ox.

The selectable locker is mandatory for snow/icy roads.

Is your axle a full float axle? I think it should be because its a 1 ton, but I'm not sure with it being a van

Yep, I have a non-selectable locker and I drove it on ice. It wasnt fun, but it wasnt dangerous and, since I am in Texas, I dont plan on doing it very often.

Get a selectable locker

Since you are taking it off road, then a selectable locker like ARB, so you get good on road manners with the extended length van.

National Tire an Wheel is where I have had the best luck buying parts for my 4x4. I don't know what their locker prices are though. Pick up a copy of 4 wheeler magazine or something like that an go check out all the companies that advertise in them and you'll be good to go.
