A few months ago the 302 in my 76' f-100 blew, I replaced it with
a 302 out of a 78' Ltd. The "new" engine leaks oil from the
lower front passenger's side. I tried tightening all of the
bolts on the oil pan that I could reach along with the timing
cover bolts. However when I drive hard it still leaks a
significant amount of oil. Most prominently around the dipstick
tube.
Any suggestions?
A bad oil pressure sender can leak oil. Check to be sure yours doesn't leak. Also, if you changed oil recently, be sure you don't have two oil filter gaskets stuck together.

Remove the dipstick tube; clean it up with some laquer thinner & a Q-tip (cotton swab). Dab some Ultra Blue or Ultra Copper silicone sealer around the tube and re-install it. Let it cure for at least 24 hours. It could be that this is the only leak you have; if not, fixing the ones you know will make others easier to detect. Keep in mind that that the fan will blow leaks to different areas of the engine making it seem as if they come from somewhere else.
Have you replaced the PCV valve. If you are building pressure in the crank case that could be your problem. Also check to see if dipstick is tight into oil pan.
