hi guys i need your help i have a 7000lb fith and i pull it with a half ton
i know the truck is to small for the fith so i am looking for a new one.
would the v10 be good enough or should i get the diesel?
i am looking at the 250 or the 350 thanks for your help
For continuous pulling, if that´s what you intend to do, the diesel should fit you better, the V10 would do if it´s just seldom that you pull anything.
P.S.: Do a search on the threads, this has been debated many times before, i foresee this: a flame war will erupt!, just wait and see .
this a very touchie ? man.both motors can and will do the job. depends fully on you and how you drive over how many miles a year. high miles 6.0. low miles some times a tow mostly not then a v10.
cost wise the 6.0 is high up front. the v10 is only 600 bucks at msrp. both strong motors
i have a 250 with the v10, tow a 7000lb boat every week end in warm weather over a very hilly area. to date it's been a no sweat for this motor.
again it's up to you and what you can aford and how many miles a year you drive.
best wishes with your choice..
If you post some more information on what exactly you will be using the truck for, the area you are located in, fuel prices around your area, etc., then we will be able to help you make a more informed decision. Both motors have their place. It's just a matter of which motor suits your needs better.
