It better be worth it....spent well over 10k since its been daily driven . Wildman is already itchin to tune it , guess i kinda am too! Should be a fun one, as soon as i get rods in i will probably order a high efficiency DI ic and maybe some h2o inj to top things off. Hopefully 12's wont be far off.

well rods finally made it today. Got all the parts for longblock assembly loaded up and taken to machine shop. Here's some pics http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...al&media=image

the one billet i weighed was 425g heavier than the forged rod in pic.

those look strong man congrats. that thing is gonna RUN when you get it done. how much longer are ya lookin at until you get to fire it up?

i am interested in seeing your new dyno #'s when you get em.

it could be anywhere from 1 week to 1+ month, my machine shop is busy building race engines for dirt track guys right now.

I think the rods are probably capable of holding way more than the block and crank will.

Well ive never built an engine before and i just dont think this is the project to learn on. If this were a smallblock 350 with parts for dime a dozen then yes i would build it. Now if i did build this one, miss a torque on something and spin a bearing/ break a crank/ block/ etc... i would be down even longer and cost even more money. At this point im figuring it will be cheaper in the long run to have it professionally built...doing it right the first time is always the cheaper route.

yeah i can definately understand that. especially with the HP numbers that it will be capable of.
