yeah the hand porting takes FOREVER!! but nobody has the CNC programs that are willing to cough them up....i think hypermax does but $$$$
body lift works!! im in the middle of putting new body mounts on my truck since the old ones were sagging out my hypermax 3" DP aint fitting right.... i havent been able to get one body mount out in one piece i have broken every single bolt off....im getting frustrated.
you get the IH rebuild kit or the one with the mahle pistons and clevites?

WOW. that is fricken awsome!! and it sucks at the same time. i wish i could have seen the look on that guys face when you passed him up!!!!
it sucks that you blew the motor, but look at the bright side.... you get a freash new motor and a fun project to work on.
it really would have sucked if you would have lost the race and blew your motor!!!!! but that didnt happen. so you have somthing to smile about

well the last parts should be here mid next week. Machine shop told me 1-2 weeks after i get them all parts they should have the short block done. So id say 4 weeks and this thing should be on the road again. My first set of mainstuds are lost in the mail somewhere, so i ordered a 2nd set from another performance shop and they should be here early next week. Already have my extra set sold too.

Yes me too. I have a few kids talkin about how my broke pos ford wont out run theyre vehicles, so its about time to slap some lil b!tc#es around. Juuuust about fed up with people insulting me (locals) with the comment "more money than brains" "coulda had a new truck with all the money youve spent on the pos". First trip down main and theres gonna be 2 black marks go the distance(bout 5 blocks)....I can already smell the smoke

i love my 97 wont ever get rid of it!! just figurin out the disc brake situation and gotta get the rear end back togethor too. man i cant wait to build a new motor for some 2's

Ya it gets old really fast when other people call fords POS even tho you can spank them in races and pulls all day long. the chevy ppl just dont get it i dont know why. no matter how many ppl i race and win they still talk ****t. i just wanna smash my truck into all there chevys and drive away. im getting tired of hearing it! so its time for some new injectors i think
so i can really smack them around!

little update. The hardened forged rods orginally going to use were machined wrong 
. Really sucks too bc engine woulda been done today if theyd have been right. Called wipeout and going to send them back, i should be getting a shiney set of billets in a couple of weeks . I decided that i didnt want to chance breaking a rod + i got a pretty good deal on these so i went a head and upgraded. Dave at Wipeout took care of this very well, no bs excuses or anything, very professional.

I bet your at this point you just want it to be done. This is the most critical part of the build up too, start rushing things and it might not come out the way you wanted. So is your budget going to get to $6000 now with the billets? Its only money

My goal is to have ti broke in (1k miles) within a week, then down to OKC to see Mr Wildman and probably do some tuning at dragstrip or dyno, then onto richter69's to recieve a set of stacks.
