I have been taking 2 truck to make 1. When purchasing the primary truck the cab gap were equall. only to find out the bed had been welded at the back. Upon bolting it on as it should be the bed aligns properly at the rear bumper but at the cab one side touches and the other has a 3" gap. Truck drives staight and seams to track fine whats my problem?

Sounds like your frame rails are seriously out of alignment. With the box off, measure in an x-pattern from "corner to corner" between the front and rear mounting holes. These measurements should be exact if your frame is "true."
Also, make sure both frame rails are the same length. Measure both rails from the front mounting hole to the frame end at the bumper. Again, measurements whould be identical.[/FONT]
I have checked the X pattern which measured to within 1/8". I would thinck you were right except all holes on the bed lined up and the alignment of bed to rear bumper is good. Thank for comments.
I would measure from the front of frame to the rear of cab on both sides, then measure from rear of frame to rear of cab on both sides. If the cab and frame are square, the bed might have been repaired.
