I have a 75f150 with a 70 429-2bbl intake/2bbl carb..i recently put on a 2-4bll carb adapter and installed a edelbrock 750cfm....now when I start out the engine wants to bogg down and acts like it wants to die then if I let my foot off the gas when i push down the pedal it takes off like a batt out of hell ??/ the carb was on a friends chevy/350 and ran fine on his motor and only has about 800 miles on it.I am wondering could it be timing issuse due to swapping carbs or ??any ideas??/thanks
5) Toss the adapter and get a 4v intake - the adapted 2v intake flows little more than the old 2v carb you removed. If you can't afford and aftermarket unit, get a junkyard factory 4v intake. For daily duty on an otherwise stock engine they are fine, and certainly light-years better than your adapted setup.
