I need a SD bed, 8', preferably black, SRW. My tailgate is still good, but boy did the passenger side take a wack. I was unloading a bale O' hay for the cows, and it slipped off my spear and creased my bed from the inside out by about 2 feet. Still streetable, but ugly.
Yes, I know it makes it look Ford tough, but I kinda like my body lines the way they are supposed to be.
Got a picture?, I have an 8 foot bed, (brown in color). It's in fair condition. I'm using the 390 engine out of it,
(the front end is trashed/truck rolled). No major dents, (73-79).
Yeah, in OH, and it is a 99, but thanks anyway. I checked ebay, still looking. I dont mind the drive if it is a good deal....Still should make some steaks instead of doing this stuff....
i know when i lived in KS, alot of people got flat beds put on their trucks everytime they got one, i imagine a place that puts the flat beds on trucks would have some beds laying around, assuming not every person now days orders just a cab and chassis.
Off the top of my head......Hartman's in Bluffton, Wagon Master's in Greenville, and there's one in Upper Sandusky, that I can't remember the name of. Let me know if you want phone #'s and I'll dig them up for you.

Thanks all, I am looking some of them up. Hate to pay 1200, it is still a farm truck. Although....I have always liked Bright yellow, I could paint in the shop, and I would halfway done. HMmmm.
Yep, the farmer I bought it from said there was a lot of hay, really tight, when I kinda looked at him funny when he said 30.00. He was right, I usually roll mine off, I couldnt even try his, and my tractor wouldnt even pick it up without pulling the back tires. I tried to "flip" it up and over, but it came off the spear early. Yes, dumb, I know, but I have never claimed to work for NASA. Just a firefighter.
Thanks all....
I am in Mansfield, OH and there is a place that I deal with that has new takeoffs with tailgates that they will sell for $1000. They had 6 or 8 of them the last time I was in. I think they wanted to sell them all so it would be great if anyone else needed one.
That might work, especially if they will sell without one, or I could ebay it. Where are they? I am south of Newark by about 15-18 miles, so that is not a bad run for me.
Thanks, Dig
