I will be in the process of installing a firestone "in-cab duel command kit II " #2226 to infllate firestone airbags from the cab...
I have downloaded the instructions ahead of time and i have question regarding the location of the -- "12 volt positive dashboard illumination circuit--". and the ignition activated 12 volt 20 amp power wire ...."Where is it located?? If anyone has done this before i would be really greatful for some help... or directed to a web site or good manual
Usually you can pull the illumination circuit right from the switch. As for the 20A circuit you refer to, it depends on the vehicle you have. In either case, I would find a ign on wire or acc on wire and run a relay for the circuit. Some 10awg wire, fuse, 30A relay would be the better way to run it as to not add extra load onto another circuit.

What they want you to do is take this wire and hook it to the circuit that lights up all the dash lights. This is so the new switch will light up at night. All you need to do is crawl under the dash and find a lightblue/red wire that goes to one of the illumintation lights the factory has. These would be in the heater controls, and anything else that lights up when you turn the headlights on at night.
About the main power wire:
I agree, I would use a relay. They say 20 amp is minimum circuit size for the main power wire. I would hook it like the diagram below. The only difference in the diagram below would be where it says "10 guage wire to trailer" this would be "10 guage wire to air compressor switch" in your case.
great thanks for your input, it really helps....any recommendations on any manuals or other web sites that will show wire diagrams for a 2001 ford f350 7.3l psd
