Try disconnecting the flashers under the dash. and check for volt pulse at the ACC at fuse box. The disconnect the ground cable at the battery and then disconnect the harness at the voltage regulator, reconnect batter and check for pulse at the ACC at the fuse box. Did any of these stop the flashing?

Make sure you disconnect the ground cable when you reconnect the harness at the voltage regulator.

Alternator?

hey put alternator in truck ? no charge? people saying i have to EXCITE it? and where do wires go and what color?

No need for any excitement or polarizing on an alternator unless you are referring to the field coil connection. Refer to the wiring diagrams in your service manual for the connections. Service manuals can be purchased at any parts store and needs to be the very FIRST thing you buy for your truck. OEM manuals on CD are available from MotorHaven at the online store here or other vendors. Check Blue Oval also.

Probably some really OLD guy that forgot that only sometimes Generators (Pre-65) need exciting.
