Going to put a new rad support in my '68 F100 this weekend...It looks pretty straight forward to do however I havent done one before and I was wondering if I'm in for any suprises?
Gary, I have a suggestion, Remove the fenders (inner & outer)at the firewall, the support to frame bolts and take the whole clip off at one time. You will have a perfect time to degrease, and add paint to the complete front compartment, and frame.

66F100s Rule
In the cool still quite of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
I did the one on my 65 ford f100.It's not hard just time consuming but hey what,s time when it's aford trk.And yes it is much easier to remove the entire frt clip and go from there. As always enjoy yourself and the bloody knuckles
Just a few things to think about, if you decide to take all of the front clip off, then be careful about the one's that hold fender on bottom by the door on the underside, a lot of time have torn bracket loose and keep up with the shims on the bolts that that you have to reach in from the door hinges area, if you decided to take support off only then take to car wash and wash the area around main 2 bolt that hold it on, Normally full of dirt, then spray with rust remover on nut, then in up in front up inside fender there is one bolt on each side that are tough, with grill off I have taken a pair of vice grips and calmp on where there are no treads and turn them most of the way then reach in from inside and turn them out the rest, Hope this helps some GWB
