05 Steering Wheel "Next " Button

My 05 HD 350 SD has a next button on the steering wheel for the stereo radio. My old GMC had the same and when pushed,it went to the next preset station. On my HD it just goes to the next useable signal. Is there any way to get it to go to the next preset station?

My '05 does the same thing. I haven't found out how to change it, and I don't think you can. Let me know if you find out any different.

Hahah, Mines the same way and I just found that out yesterday, never hit it until then. I was waiting in line for the automatic carwash (6 cars ahead of me) and started hitting buttons. I wish it did just cycle thru the presets, that would be way more useful.

Um... actually I don't know how you got it to do what you say it's doing !(Unless you don't have any presets... maybe ?)

on all three of my excursions it went to the next preset on the current radio dial presets... meaning - AM or FM1 or FM2 ....

(and I'm starting to cuss my 05 Ex's "Next", since my wife's new car has a Next AND Previous )

Must be an 05 thing Buddy. My Yukon did like you said. I have the presets in but it just goes to the next signal...

Its one of those functions that didnt get worked out....like your HFCM drain LEVER. My 05 is the same way, practically useless button.

My 06 F250 goes to the next usable signal. But the 03 Explorer I had would go to the next preset. I wonder if there's a way to change it? I would prefer next preset when driving local, but next usable signal when driving cross country.

I have only had my truck a week and am already peeved by it "seeking" instead of going to the next preset. Had to be overlooked in the design... surely they didn't intend for it to be that way?

The time it takes me to look down and find the next button it is easier to just reach over and hit one of the six pre-select buttons. How lazy are we getting.LOL.
