3rd brake light
I just turned my cargo light on my 72-ford truck into a 3rd brake light. I'm letting other people know how I did it.
First get and old taillight housing. Take the bulb holder out of the housing. I just tapped it with a hammer after cutting the factory shrink-wrap off the back. Then I did the same with the cargo light. Then put the bulb holder from the taillight housing into the cargo light housing. What this does is change the bulb used to an 1157. Much easier to find in red than the cargo bulb. Then run A wire from the brake pedal to the light. Put in a red bulb and you are on the way down the road.
