OK, I was tryin to get my truck runnin yester day, but it wouldn't fire. I pulled the # 7 plug to see if I had spark, my friend rolled the truck over and she fired up no hesitation at all. So I put the plug back in and tried firing her up and she wouldn't even cough. And today I was tryin to get her runnin and when I was turning it over she was makin a squeaking noise coming out of one of the cylinders I sprayed some wd 40 in the cylinders and that got rid of it, then I upt 2 more litresof oil in. It still won't fire , any ideas on what's wrong with it? HELP IS NEEDED DESPERATELY
Did you try a new wire on that #7 cyl? Electrical can be tricky. I took a tach out of a truck one time, hooked it up on another truck and it wouldnt start. Unhooked tach, ran fine. Hooked it up while running, killed it instantly. The tach worked fine in the other truck. ???
I'm just guessing but it might be like he said a bad boot, and your getting a short of some kind. I would try to replace that plug wire and try that. Its probably the the first thing to try.
I had a problem with this type of problem once. My truck would not fire. To find out the coil wire had a split in it and it was arcing between the coil wire and thew coil. Replaced wire and ran fine.
Yeah I found out that the power wire that goes to the coil is faulty . It sends spark but not big enough to get it to fire. To get it to run I have to bypass that wire by putting a wire from the positive terminal to the coil. After it starts it runs without the wire to the battery, I think it's cause my battery was so weak
