Freeze Plugs

Anyone have a good trick to get out old freeze plugs while the motor is still in. Or would a product like jb weld work to patch a small hole til I pull it.

Well, my big secret is a hammer and a screwdriver, but if for some reason that doesn't work I don't see why JBweld wouldn't seal it up. I use that stuff for everything. Although if your plug is rotten in one spot it really should be popped out.

If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.

Freeze Plugs

Try using a socket that barely fits inside the freeze plug with an extension and drive it into the waterjacket and turn it sideways then pull it out with a pair of pliers. Eric
