scr8pin,
You might try Castrol Super Clean. One helluva degreaser, cheap and can be found at Walmart and most auto parts stores.
Years ago a local fella here that worked as a hired hand for a farmer decided to clean the shop floor. He decided to use a little gasoline. Then grabbed a commercial floor polisher with steel brush pads on it. Sounded like a plan to him until the sparks of the brushes inside the polisher motor ignited all the fumes. Needless to say he spent close to a year in the burn unit with the first few months praying for death. Still terribly disfigured today. Sorry for the morbid story but thought that might fit in here.
I use Castrol Super Clean mixed with kerosene, let it set a while, then use a garden hose sprayer. For extra stubborn stains you can throw down a little "Oil Dry" or clay kitty litter, then grind it into the floor using a little "Elvis" dance step. Sweep off the residue then use the Castrol-kerosene-water spray.
If all else fails, use a pressure washer instead of the garden hose sprayer.
:-staun at wal-mark there is a product in the automotive dept. called super clean it is wonderful comes in gal. refill or you can refill a bottle or dilute it as i sometimes do , can even use it in the laudry.
Thompson's makes a garage floor epoxy paint that works excellent. It is a 3 step system. 1st step is the degreaser...2nd etches the concrete with citric acid (makes paint stick to it better)...3rd step is rolling the paint. It is an excellent sytem. It does not chip or peel and spills wipe up easily. I've had it for 4 1/2 years and it cleans up with soap and water and looks like new each time. There are others brands that are similar though. Good luck!
